Heard the Honourable Minister of Finance mention today that the tax weenies are tracking who buys what at the building material store. Thus, I buy decking material they will be sure to check that I engaged a contractor that will charge tax – as compared to cash. With a smirk in his voice he said, “don’t worry, we have our ways”. He is getting creepy. Here we go – start paying cash at the building material store. Track that one Mr. Minister.
He’s been doing that for years at flooring stores, which is why the stores innocently ask for either name or home phone number. I’d suggest memorizing this number, 368-4050, and identifying yourself as Milburn Drysdale.
