…I arrived on PEI for the first time. I fell in love with the place and by December I obtained landed immigrant status and commenced employment which ended December past.

On my first day of employment my employer emphasized “we must be and will be honest to a fault”. Some years later the same employer added the mantra, “the customer is king”. Both mantras are written in a handbook every employee receives.

I retired November 30, 2017 and my employer retired the same date. We never stopped conducting ourselves with those concepts front of mind.

To this day, when presented with choices for a client, the question is asked, “what is best for the customer”.
