This hits home for me. I recently won a tag for the New Brunswick moose hunt (the 2nd one since moving here). That few years ago, my friends and I called out a nice animal and I for one ate mainly moose for a couple of years. I remember after delivering a shot to make sure the animal was in fact gone, standing there in horror of what I just did, I focused on the fact that I was there to harvest this meat in order to eat it. And I will likely do it again.
The idea of killing an animal just for a “laugh” is sickening.
